Located on a cliff by the ocean, this house by architect Kengo Kuma consists of separate buildings connected by exterior corridor. The pond and the glazed facade of the residence reflect the surroundings and give the impression as if the building is floating. Parts of the facade is clad with 4 cm-wide cedar slats for texture which is the same detail used at Katsura Imperial Villa in Kyoto.Our team visited the house in Eastern Japan to document the experience moving through the space.
