The new film center, located on the north-east corner of the art complex, houses two cinemas, a film archive, film and television studios, offices, a cafeteria, and an exterior patio in a 2,688 m2 (28,933 ft2) two-story building.

Basket-like surfaces of woven industrial irrigation hose and steel tubing, entwined around light tubes, adorn the film archive.

The walls in the cinemas are also enveloped by the woven hoses. The architect describes “that the baskets that define film rooms are shades of black. In the main room the orange background illuminates to make the basket float until the movie begins, (then) the background disappears and only a vibrant black surface stays.”

Dark gray wooden boards cover the floor, ceiling, and lower portion of the wall in the lobby. The clarity of material use “defines the new program and allows a clear separation between story and History.”
