Grüningen Botanical Garden is located amongst the farms and forests that surround the village of Grüningen, approximately 25 km (15.5 miles) southeast of Zurich, Switzerland. The gardens’ new pavilion is placed along a path that leads into the woods.

Four steel columns branch out to an approximate height of five meters-high (16.4 feet), creating a thicket-like conservatory housing subtropical flora.

Each rib on the column extends to a different height. The steel limbs join to outline the undulating multifaceted glass roof. Glazed walls extend from the branches to the ground with a minimum of visible framing.
